http://www.sos.state.oh.us/SOS/pollinglocation.aspx?page=361 Please share this link with your friends and family! As we near Election Day, our thoughts turn gratefully to the hundreds of volunteers who have made our campaign strong. Thank you for taking the time out of your weekend to knock on doors, or for stapling yard signs, or for having conversations with your neighbors about why you support the schools. It’s efforts like these that will win this levy for our students and our community.
The campaign has placed 1,200 small yard signs and 36 large yard signs. We have over 1,100 people on our supporter email list. We’ve called or knocked on the doors of thousands of targeted active voters. We’ve mailed follow-up letters to those who said they were undecided. We’ve received thousands of dollars in donations. We’ve mailed thousands of postcards to absentee voters. We’ve coordinated numerous letters to the editor. We’ve mailed three postcards targeted to specific groups. We’ve maintained a web site and blog, as well as Facebook (www.facebook.com/citizensforperrysburgschools) and Twitter (twitter.com/4pburgschools) pages. Volunteers handed out flyers at athletic and community events. PHS student Eunice Park has made videos in support of the levy. The school district has sent out two informational community letters and has posted videos about school funding, all of which may be accessed here: faculty.perrysburgschools.net/groups/superintendent We are still looking for volunteers to knock on doors on Monday. We also have many slots to fill for poll greeting on Tuesday. If you can help, please email [email protected]. Thanks so much for your support! Go Jackets! Donna Lowery, Campaign Chair Tom Hosler, Superintendent Rachel Johnson, District Campaign Liaison Citizens for Perrysburg Schools This levy will cost the owner of a $200,000 home about $17 more per month in the first year, and $6 more per month for the following three years. But don't take our word for it. The Wood County Auditor's web site has a calculation tool where you can put in the value of your home and determine how much the increase in millage of 3.14 in the first year and 1.3 in years 2-4 will be for you: http://auditor.co.wood.oh.us/TaxEstimator/Default.aspx On the first screen, select "Q61" for Perrysburg: Type in the property market value of your home and the millage (3.14 for year 1, 1.3 for years 2-4), then click calculate now. The Auditor's site will then provide your estimated tax.
