As alumni of the Perrysburg Schools, we encourage voters to support the Perrysburg School District’s levy! We are grateful benefactors of our community’s historically generous support of education. We know our district to be a fiscally responsible, premier public organization that has always been a leader in teaching and learning, thanks to many committed outstanding educators working tirelessly to make a difference in our community.
Perrysburg’s levy provides critical financing to bridge the gap from the state. As shown in an independent audit, the Perrysburg School District manages their funds mindfully and responsibly, all the while still creating tremendous programs with less money spent per child than most others in Ohio. This additional funding would support those incredible professionals who make Perrysburg top-ranked centers for learning. The levy will also ensure exemplary programs (e.g. music, athletics, theater, and honors classes) continue developing Perrysburg youth.
We, alumni, benefited daily at Perrysburg from dedicated teachers, music and theatre specialists, coaches, and support staff. They guided us with commitment and grace. As a result, many of us mobilized our learning to become educators, entertainers, theatre/film/television professionals, doctors, community and corporate leaders, scientists, and cultural curators, positively impacting our communities at home and around the world. The ripple effects of our exemplary foundational education and experiences in Perrysburg Schools will continue to manifest for years to come.
We feel it is a critical time for our community to focus on developing the next generation of citizens. The Perrysburg School System is an invaluable mechanism to secure our investment in that future. Only by supporting the development of each subsequent generation can our community flourish.
Please support Perrysburg’s extraordinary educators, administrators, and programs by voting for the levy. The children of today deserve the exceptional education that we are grateful to have received.
