#VoteYes #SupportPerrysburgSchools #StrongSchoolsStrongCommunity]]><![CDATA[Become a Neighborhood Outreach Leader!]]>Sat, 13 Sep 2025 11:16:39 GMThttps://www.citizensforperrysburgschools.org/news/become-a-neighborhood-outreach-leaderWe need many school supporters to please join our campaign team as a Neighborhood Outreach Leader, which is the most critical position in this campaign as it involves direct voter contact (but NO KNOCKING!). We are asking these team members to please do two rounds of "lit drop," or delivering doorhanger-style flyers to targeted households in or near your own neighborhood (or near where you work in the school district).

You would be asked to please place a single provided “door hanger” flyer at each household on your list. There is no need to knock on the door, just place the flyer on the door handle or under the corner of the doormat.

Here is what we would need you to do to help pass this critical levy for our schools and students:
1. Pick up the week of September 29 from our volunteer's porch box in Three Meadows your list that you will save for both rounds of lit drop (we'll let you know when they are ready, address, etc.).
2. Place your first batch of doorhangers on or around the weekend of October 4-5 (absentee voting begins that Tuesday).
3. SAVE your walk list for the next round!
4. Pick up your next batch of doorhangers from the same porch box (week of October 27).
5. Place your second batch of doorhangers on or around the weekend of November 1-2 to Get Out the Vote (Election Day is Tuesday, November 4).

We hope you can join us to show our community how excited we are about this important issue. Parents/guardians, family members, employees and students (with parent or guardian) are encouraged to join us! Please bring your friends!

We'll be meeting at 9:15 a.m. for the parade lineup on Louisiana Ave. near 5th Street at the corner of the Commodore lawn. Please wear your Jacket Pride gear and bring a homemade sign to carry using Black and Gold that says: "Please Vote FOR Perrysburg Schools!" or "Preserve Perrysburg Schools!" You are welcome to bring a bag of candy to hand out along the parade route. We will also be taking photos throughout the parade to use on upcoming promotional materials, etc.

Ensuring that the community hears about the need and importance of this levy from those of us who are very supportive is critical for this levy's passage. ]]><![CDATA[Let’s Keep Perrysburg Schools Strong – Here’s How You Can Help]]>Wed, 13 Aug 2025 17:03:23 GMThttps://www.citizensforperrysburgschools.org/news/lets-keep-perrysburg-schools-strong-heres-how-you-can-helpOn Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Perrysburg voters will decide on a 5-year, 7.83-mill operating levy to sustain our schools. If passed, it will generate $11 million annually to maintain teachers, academic programs, arts, clubs, athletics, and vital student support services. Without it, the 2026–2027 school year will bring even deeper cuts for students—on top of the 57 staff positions already eliminated, larger class sizes, and reduced extracurricular and mental health supports our students are already experiencing.
 
The citizen committee supporting the school levy, Citizens for Perrysburg Schools (CFPS), needs your help to ensure every voter understands the need, importance, and urgency of this issue. Here are 5 ways YOU can make a difference:

While the Perrysburg Board of Education has not yet finalized what will appear on the November ballot, one thing is certain: Citizens for Perrysburg Schools will NEED to be there, working to ensure our community is engaged and provided with accurate information - as we have seen in the recent campaign, this will be even more important as we face organized opposition that will be actively spreading their own version of what they think this community should be.

To ensure the continued success of our schools, the citizen committee Citizens for Perrysburg Schools (CFPS) needs your help to spread the word and encourage voter participation. Here’s how you can get involved:
